Busie Matsiko Hosting the 3rd Annual Vision Board Workshop

Jan 19, 2026

Founder of the New York Africa Chamber of Commerce, Busie Matsiko on Designing a Vision For the Life You Want

Busie Matsiko’s work has always been rooted in strategy, leadership, and global perspective. As a speaker, strategist, and advisor, her career has spanned corporate environments, international platforms, and entrepreneurial ecosystems, where she has consistently focused on helping individuals and organisations think more clearly about direction, impact, and growth. Over time, one recurring pattern became impossible to ignore: many talented, capable people were not struggling because of a lack of skill or ambition, but because of a lack of clarity. Goals were often reactive, shaped by circumstance rather than intention. Potential existed, but it wasn’t always activated.

This insight became the foundation of Busie’s best-selling book, Create the Life of Your Dreams: The Art of Unlocking Potential with Vision Boards. Rather than positioning vision boards as wishful thinking, the book reframes them as a practical tool - one that sits alongside strategy, discipline, and mindset. The principles outlined in the book draw from Busie’s professional experience and personal journey, offering readers a structured way to define goals, align actions, and remain accountable to the life they are building.

Those same principles now form the basis of an upcoming Vision Board and Manifestation Experience, hosted in collaboration with the New York Africa Chamber of Commerce. Designed as an immersive, hands-on workshop, the event invites participants to step back from the noise of daily life and intentionally set the trajectory for the year ahead.

The morning begins with a welcome and campus tour, creating space for connection and reflection. This is followed by a masterclass led by Busie, focused on manifestation techniques, visualization, and goal refinement. Rather than abstract motivation, the session emphasizes practical mindset shifts - how to think differently about opportunity, how to define goals with precision, and how to move from intention to execution. Participants then take part in an interactive vision board session, where they create personalized boards aligned with their personal, professional, spiritual, or business aspirations. With guided facilitation, breakout discussions, and dedicated support, the workshop encourages depth over speed, allowing attendees to engage meaningfully with their vision. All materials are provided, reinforcing the idea that clarity should be accessible, not exclusive.

Supported by the Berkeley College Alumni Association, the event brings together a community of professionals, entrepreneurs, and creatives who are committed to growth and self-leadership. More than a single workshop, it reflects a broader conversation about agency - about choosing to design one’s future rather than drift into it. For Busie Matsiko, this work is not about reinvention, but refinement. It is about giving people the tools to articulate what they want, understand why it matters, and move forward with intention. As a new year approaches, the experience offers a timely reminder: vision, when paired with action, becomes direction. The event is free to attend, but space is limited.
